This tutorial will teach you how to create a variable in SAFEs variable tool.

1. Open the variable menu

   To create a variable you must go to the Variable Editor which you can find in the top menu under tools. This will open the variable editor where you can see all of your variables.

2. Add a new variable

   To start there are not any variables created. To do this click the + New variable button. This will create the variable var0 as the first variable.

3. Customize a variable

   You can customise the variable var0 with Name and Default Value. Name is the name of the variable and the Default Value is the value that the variable will be set to when a test i started.

   To customize either Name or Default Value double click it and edit. Current Value cannot be changed by the user. It will change when the variable is changed during testing.

   When you are done customizing the variable click OK
