ISO3382 Noise Method

Description

The ISO3382 Noised Method block determines the reverberation time based on calculations from ISO 3382-2:2008 Measurement of room acoustic parameters — Part 2: Reverberation time in ordinary rooms.

The reverberation time is calculated based on the interrupted noise method where a noise signal is interrupted and forms the rooms decay curve. Using exponential averaging the reverberation time T60, T30, or T20 is calculated.

Input

Noise [P,pos1] is the interrupted noise signal that is M samples long and can be repeated 1 to N times.

Output

Reverberation times is the calculated reverberation times in F bands. Default one band pr octave from 100 Hz to 4000 Hz.

Name

Name specifies the name of the block.

Mode

Mode specifies which type of reverberation time you want to calculate. You can choose between T60, T30, or T20.

Bands pr. octave

Bands pr. octave species the number of bands you want to output pr octave.

Start frequency

Start frequency specifies the frequency which should be in the first band.

Stop frequency

Stop frequency specifies the frequency which should be in the last band.

Inputs

Inputs specifies the number of inputs the block requires. Each input is a specific measurement position that are used.
