Octave Analysis

Description

The signal processing block Octave Analysis octave averages individual 1/B octave bands of an input. The octave analyser is designed based on IEC 61260-1:2014 and the specifications in the attributes. The octave filters are class 1 which is the best filter class

If you want to use octave filters go here.

MxNKxN

Input

The input is MxN.

Output

The output is KxN which is the average of each K 1/B octave band of the input signal MxN. The size K is dependent on how many bands pr octave and the start and end frequency.

Name

Name specifies the name of the block.

Bands pr. octave

Bands pr. octave is the number of bands pr. octave. Maximum is 24 bands pr. octave.

Start frequency

Start frequency is the frequency which the lowest octave band must contain.

Stop frequency

Stop frequency is the frequency which the highest octave band must contain.

Base

Base is a design parameter which can either be 10 or 2. For default standard octave filters it is 10.

Reference frequency

Reference frequency is a design parameters. For default standard octave filters it is 1000 Hz
